BACHELOR OF AUDIOLOGY-SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY (BASLP)

Audiology focuses on the science of
hearing and balance, diagnosing and treating issues like hearing loss and
balance disorders, while Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) addresses speech,
language, and swallowing disorders, helping people communicate effectively and
manage difficulties in understanding or producing language. Professionals in
these combined fields, also known as audiologists and speech-language
pathologists, assess, diagnose, and manage these diverse communication and
hearing impairments in individuals of all ages.

Admission criteria:
Two-year Pre-University
examination/10+2 or equivalent as recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of
Health Sciences with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as principal subjects of
study in addition to English.
The selection of students to will be
based on merit provided that:
In case of admission on the basis of
qualifying examination, a candidate for admission must have passed individually
in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and must have
obtained not less than 45% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and
Biology in the qualifying examination.
In respect of candidates belonging
to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Category I, the marks obtained in
Physics, Chemistry and Biology together in qualifying examination is not less
than 40%.
Minimum Age:
A candidate seeking admission to
Bachelor of Physiotherapy course should have completed 17 years of age, as on
31st December of the year of admission.
